Matisse Costume For a Mourner

Matisse designed this costume in 1920 for the Ballets Russe: Costume for a Mourner in the Ballets Russes production of ‘Le Chant du Rossignol’ (Song of the Nightingale); Headdress and Robe I’ve been quite inspired by this piece in designing the “Graphic Fonts Recycled Suede Alphabet Bag” below (whew what a mouthful, I need to come up with a shorter name)
